NUT–BOLT AND WASHER
PP (polypropylene) and HDPE (high-density polyethylene) nuts, bolts, and washers are used in a variety of applications, including:
- Chemical processing: PP bolts and nuts are often used in chemical processing equipment because of their chemical resistance.
- Water treatment: PP fasteners are used in water treatment facilities because of their corrosion resistance.
- Electronics manufacturing: PP bolts are used in electronics manufacturing because of their electrical insulation properties.
- Agriculture: PP service saddles are used to join long-distance irrigation pipes and connect branches of pipes.
- Industrial and mechanical applications: HDPE washers are used in industrial and mechanical applications because of their resistance to crushing and abrasion.
- High-impact and high-pressure applications: HDPE washers are used in high-impact and high-pressure applications because of their impact resistance.
PP is a lightweight, crystalline general-purpose plastic that is resistant to chemicals, hydrolysis, and electricity. It is often used as a replacement for PVC (polyvinyl chloride).
